Folks, I’d love to get back into streaming! I’m between jobs at the moment and need something to focus on and I think streaming might be that. I still manage Knitsknacks.com and the social media content to their IG account. So streaming will still be casual as it was back in 2020, but hopefully with improvements!
What do I mean by casual? Well, I’m a hobby streamer, so I stream on my own (often unpublished) schedule. This means that any contributions will be put towards web hosting costs, new games, keep the lights on, etc. So while the stream will hopefully continue to improve, it’s most certainly not going to be overnight and I’m okay with that!
Now I do see the irony(?) in that I’m misanthropic and want to create a community of casual gamers, artists, whomever you are, and build a supportive environment in these trying times. So consider me your social moth, not quite butterfly. ;)
Updates
The Old: In 2020 I had an over 10 year old computer that would blue screen on occasion, sometimes during the stream. </3
Fairly certain I streamed over wi-fi and regardless of connection frames dropped left and right. If you were there, you might remember more than me!
The Same: Sadly, I still only have one monitor. I do have a tablet that might work as a second screen (I’ll look into that.. later.) I also have the same microphone (Blue Yeti), which I don’t recall any real problem with other than I’m not a sound engineer lol.
The New: I did get a new computer a couple years ago. It has the glass side and customizable lights and such! Sorry for not including a picture of it, that will have to be a post for another time! I don’t have the technical specs of this new computer in front of me but it was purchased with streaming in mind, NZXT‘s “content creator” pre-build so I hope that between the new computer and using ethernet and not wi-fi will help improve the quality enough to get started.
Anyways, this is all I have for now. You know me, many thoughts and too many shiny things in every day! So all I can say for now is that I hope to start streaming soon, there will be signs if you follow me on Twitch!
